The founder of Sikhism Religion is Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He was born in 1469 in Nankana Sahib (Punjab). The name of the place at that time was “Rai Bhoi di Talwandi”. Afterwards it was renamed “Nankana”(word derived from the name of Guru). It is about 75 kilometers west-southwest of Lahore. Nankana Sahib is in Sheikhupura district.
